As a MASSIVE fan of Downton Abbey getting the chance to photograph a Highclere Castle wedding was super exciting for me. Approaching the drive, your pulse quickens and as you come through the gates you see the breath-taking grandeur of the house. Lookout Lady Mary, Danni Beach is here!!
Highclere Castle bride.
Steph wore the most beautiful Suzanne Nevil dress, paired with the perfect pair of Jimmy Choo’s, with her bridesmaids in a stunning purple and flowers to compliment. Getting ready in the bridal suite above the saloon was the perfect vantage point to see all the guests arriving the finishing touches coming together!
Andrew and his best man wore his families tartan and were accompanied by a brilliant bagpiper in full regalia! How awesome does he look!
Highclere Castle wedding ceremony.
With guests looking down from the balconies overlooking the Saloon, Steph made her entrance down the stairs accompanied by her very proud Dad. I love these moments on a wedding day, you can see from both their expressions the emotions. There are many wonderful venues to have your wedding ceremony but I have to say having the guest looking down over the service is really unique!
Highclere Castle is every wedding photographers dream!
During the drinks reception we snuck off to take some natural and relaxed shots of Steph and Andrew. The imposing beauty of Highclere was the perfect backdrop for these lovely shots of the couple!
Evening time at a Highclere Castle wedding.
The Saloon was transformed into the most beautiful space for the evening reception. We took a few minutes out to take some night shots before their first dance.
Everything about the day was beautiful and Steph beamed all day long. As the sunset and the castle lights were lit the magic of the day only increased and I was very sad to wave my goodbyes on a very special Highclere Castle wedding.
