Ashleigh and Markus’s Kent Castle Wedding.
Arriving at this Kent Castle wedding at the historic Hever Castle grounds, you could feel the magic in the air. Every corner seemed to whisper tales of romance and timeless love, setting the perfect stage for Ashleigh and Markus’ special day. The autumn sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and anticipation hung thick in the air as guests began to arrive, adorned in their finest attire.
I love capturing the moments before the wedding ceremony, the details, the nerves and the anticipation! Ashleigh looks simply stunning but the grand reveal to her Dad, was almost too much for me, there might have been a tear or two behind the camera.

As Ashleigh’s dad accompanied her down the red carpet you could feel Markus’s joy and you couldn’t help but be overcome with emotion. The love between them was palpable, radiating warmth and joy to everyone present. Their celebrant lead ceremony was so personal and unique, with not only an exchange of rings but a hand-tying ritual, symbolising their commitment to each other in a way that was uniquely their own. It was a beautiful moment, filled with symbolism and heartfelt promises, and I couldn’t help but feel honoured to be there to capture it all. With vows exchanged and hearts full, it was time to party! There is nothing quite like a drinks reception at the Italian gardens, lakeside location, with views to die for on this beautiful autumn afternoon.
Picture perfect Kent castle wedding.
One of the many joys of Hever Castle wedding is it is a wedding photographer’s dream location, literally everywhere you look there is a stunning backdrop! With the the gardens to ourselves, we wandered up to the castle and back to the Italian garden to capture these beautiful shots, while also giving Ashleigh and Markus a little time together.
Let’s get this party started!!
The wedding breakfast was held in the stunning Guthrie Pavilion, where guests were treated to a feast fit for royalty. From gourmet delights to sweet treats galore, it was a culinary extravaganza that left everyone’s taste buds tingling with delight. Throughout the wedding breakfast, the speeches that had everyone in stitches and many heartfelt moments had the guests reaching for their tissues. It was a celebration unlike any other, filled with love, laughter, and a whole lot of magic. After dinner, as a surprise to their guests, they had some of the best singing waiters I have seen, I don’t think I have ever seen guests get up and dance and sing like it! It was incredible fun, I may have struck a few shapes myself!!!
As the sun began to set and the castle’s lights twinkled in the distance, Ashleigh and Markus took to the dance floor for their first dance as newlyweds. And let me tell you, they tore it up like nobody’s business! With twirls and dips and a whole lot of laughter, it was a sight to behold – a perfect reflection of the joy and love that filled the air that evening.
As the night came to a close and the stars shimmered overhead, I couldn’t help but feel grateful to have been a part of such a special day. Ashleigh and Markus’ Kent castle wedding was a whirlwind of joy and excitement, and I feel truly lucky to have been there to capture every moment.
So here’s to love, laughter, and happily ever afters! And here’s to Ashleigh and Markus’s Kent castle wedding, may their lives be filled with endless joy, countless adventures, and of course, plenty of love. Cheers to the happy couple, and cheers to love everlasting!

On the day, she was immensely helpful and went beyond her role as a photographer. She helped with various minor emergencies (pollen on the dress, a broken bustle!) with calmness and confidence. She organised guests in a friendly but assertive manner.
The photos themselves were beautiful. We are so pleased with them. We would recommend Danni 100%.”
