Sussex wedding photography -Harriet and James luxury marquee wedding

Harriet and James’ luxury marquee wedding was everything I love about weddings, their wedding was based around everything important to them, in the main their love of their family.

Family is everything!

Harriet got ready at her granny’s house and was driven to the church in her Grandads pride and joy, their luxury marquee wedding was at Harriet’s family farm, and every detail was centred on their families.

Harriets Jose Perez’s wedding dress from the amazing Miss Bush was timelessly elegant, set off perfectly with a veil and her Dad’s reaction to seeing her was so touching. Capturing the emotion on a wedding day is at the centre of everything I do.

They got married at the beautiful Penshurst Church, nestled in the gorgeous Sussex village of Penshurst before heading to their wedding reception.

The rolling Sussex views of Harriet’s family farm from the stretch tent marquee were breathtaking, with festoon lighting strung around the lake below the marquee. It was the picture-perfect setting for the drinks reception, with straw bales to sit on and amazing canapés from Peapod and Co. The stretch tent was beautifully decorated with flowers from Posy and Wild and wooden table and place names with a very cool bar in the centre.

The speeches are always a fun time on a wedding day and Harriet and James’ speeches were brilliant and so funny! With the backdrop of the lake behind them, it was so beautiful!

After the wedding breakfast, we wandered around the lake before the first dance. I would always choose after the meal for couples shots. You are always more relaxed after the meal and speeches and it’s a chance to spend a moment together. A wedding day is always busy and you want to speak to your guest so taking a wander and catching up is a chance to take in the day. The more relaxed you both are the better your couple’s shots will be. I did receive this wonderful review from Harriet and James,
